The Feel app cannot find my Feel Emotion Sensor

If you cannot see your Feel Emotion Sensor on the list of available Feel devices to connect to, please check the following:

  • Ensure your Feel Emotion Sensor is not already connected. If your Feel Emotion Sensor briefly disconnects from your Feel app (e.g. because it was too far from your phone), you can try to manually reconnect via the Feel app settings. If you are on the Bluetooth Connection page of the Feel app however, the Feel Emotion Sensor will automatically reconnect to your app, and therefore the sensor will no longer appear in the app as an available device. Leave the Bluetooth connection page and go back to the app settings to check your connection status.
  • Ensure location services are enabled on your phone settings. In order for your Feel Emotion Sensor to be discovered by the app and displayed on the list of available devices, location services must be turned on through your phone settings. On some phones, this will not happen automatically. If the app does not seem to find your Feel Emotion Sensor, go to your phone settings and turn Location on.
  • Ensure your Feel Emotion Sensor is charged. If it has run out of battery, it will not be visible to Bluetooth-enabled devices. Does the heart rate sensor light up green and orange when you put the Feel Emotion Sensor on? If not, try connecting your Feel Emotion Sensor to the charger for a while and then try again later.
  • Is it the first time you are connecting to your Feel Emotion Sensor? The first time you unbox your Feel Emotion Sensor and try to connect to it, you will need to press the button located on the device, for about five seconds, and then position it on your wrist, in order for it to become visible to the Feel app. You should then see the green and orange lights of the heart rate sensor flashing, which means that it is positioned correctly, and the Feel Emotion Sensor should now be discoverable.
  • Did you connect to your Feel Emotion Sensor directly from your phone's Bluetooth devices menu? Connection can only be performed via the Feel app, otherwise your data will not sync properly. If you connected directly from your phone's Bluetooth devices settings menu, please disconnect and try to connect again from within the Feel app.
  • Is your Feel Emotion Sensor connected to another device with the Feel app? E.g. If you have the app installed on another phone, please check that your Feel Emotion Sensor is not already connected to that phone.
  • Try switching Bluetooth OFF and then ON again. Sometimes, it might be that the Bluetooth service on your phone is "stuck" and cannot properly connect and disconnect from your device. If you turn off Bluetooth and then turn it on again, it might help solve that problem.
  • Reboot the Feel Emotion Sensor. If none of the above works, try pressing the button on the Feel Emotion Sensor for about 10 seconds. Then, put the device on your wrist again, making sure it is in contact with your skin, and try to connect it again.
  • Try rebooting your phone. Sometimes when the Bluetooth service is stuck even switching Bluetooth OFF and back ON does not help. As a last resort, try rebooting your phone as this could resolve this problem.

If you have tried all the above and are still facing issues, you can either read the relevant articles in the FAQ sections “I can not connect to my Feel Emotion Sensor” and ”Connecting to your Feel Emotion Sensor”; or contact us through the app settings, under Help (“Call us” or “Send a Message”).
